Nifty 50 Index Movement and Nifty 50 Stock Movement

We analyze how nifty 50 stock moves according to nifty index movement. Compare the movement of nifty 50 stock and nifty 50 index.
The almost all stocks are move according to how nifty 50 index move. Means the movement of most of the nifty 50 stock influenced by nifty 50 index. Some stocks move almost equally to nifty 50 index.Below are the some facts related to nifty index and stocks.
  • Almost all stocks movement are influenced by Nifty 50 Index. Ie. If nifty 50 Moving upward direction, Almost all nifty stocks will move upward direction influenced by nifty index.
  • Some stocks may move against nifty index direction. ie if nifty trending up, very few stocks may move downward direction that is against the nifty index direction.
  • Strength and Length of Nifty Movement in a direction also influence the movement of nifty stock. Here length means time or distance and strength means how much Price move in a particular time.

If nifty moving down for the past 3 days, only 40% stocks from nifty 50 stocks actually moves down move according to nifty index. 405 move sideways not much influenced by nifty index. 20% may move against nifty index.

And nifty continue it's downward momentum till 1 week, many of the sideways stock may start move downwards influenced by nifty index. and many up trending stock may stop it's upward movement because the whole nifty is moving down.

Nifty expanding it's downward movement in past 20 days, more sideways stock will starts moving downward movement. and some of stock that are moving upward may stop it's upward movement or may starts moving down.

Now nifty is moving downward with high strength, in that time almost 90% stock move according to nifty index, very few stock move sideways and only 2-3% stock move up that is against nifty movement.

Leading Stock, Obedient Stock, Following Stock
Leading stocks are those stock that lead the whole market or nifty 50 index that move prior to nifty movement. 

Obedient Stokes are those stock which move along with nifty index. which moves almost equal(Length and distance, distance may be upward direction or downward or sideways) to nifty index. 

Following stock - Following stock are those which follows nifty index these stock move after the nifty movement.

sideways stocks- sideways stock are those which are still moving sideways while the nifty index is trending towards a direction.these stock. These stocks not showing any trend and nifty index can not influence it's movement.

Trend Stopped stocks -  Some stock can not move against nifty index movement. Generally the movement of these types of stock may be in stuck. ie. while nifty expanding it's downward direction, up trending stock may stops it's upside movement and turned to sideways.

Opposite Stock - Opposite stocks are those which move against nifty index movement.

Active Stock and Inactive Stock
                         Almost all stocks are moving most of the time nifty move. Some stocks are move with nifty in same direction, some stock move against nifty and some stock may be stopped it's trend (they might be in opposite direction to nifty). All stock that include above criteria known as active stocks. Volume is important for stock movement. If lots of traders are actively participating in a stock, that stock will have high movement.
                         Some stocks are not moving even in the peak time of nifty movement. it may be because of lack of volume. These stocks are known as inactive stocks

Active Time/Day and Inactive Time/Day
                        Some day nifty move (up and down) fastly or some time/day very slowly. Some time/day nifty will not have any movement. Nifty and stocks are lagging due to without the enough participation from traders and investors. Below are the time or reason.

  • First 2 hour and last 30 minutes of market hours are the peak time when traders are actively participating.Traders and Investors creating and exiting their position in this time period
  •  After 11 am and before 2:30 are time nifty/stock may move very slowly or lag. Most of the time nifty may not have movement during this time periods.
  • Nifty may be inactive before any political or corporate news. Market(Traders) are waiting for the result or news. After the news came to public, nifty may have large price movement.
  • If nifty is at the resistance or support level, there may have some moments of inactive time because traders are waiting for a breakout. With the creation of new position at the support/resistance level, consequently nifty will start move in a direction.
  • many of the stock may be inactive during nifty testing or struggling time. At support or resistance, many time nifty may struggle to breake the level, in tha time many stock will be inactive.
